Welcome to our programme of learning and social activities. Ferndown U3A is a registered charity and a member of the U3A organisation which started in 1972 and has grown to be world wide. It is an organisation for people no longer in full time employment providing educational, creative and leisure  opportunities in a friendly environment. The U3A approach to learning is – learning is for pleasure. The title of the University of the Third Age is formed from University – a place where people share learning. Third Age – An age following 1^st age School, and 2^nd age bringing up children. Although we are a very small cog in a very large U3A wheel we make a large contribution to the Ferndown and district community at large.
